Chelsea - Physiotherapist
Chelsea joined the North West Physiotherapy, Eatons Hill team in 2021, having graduated from the Australian Catholic University with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy. During her studies, she received the Dean’s Commendation for Academic Excellence and was invited into the ACU Honours Program.
Chelsea brings first-hand experience in the holistic management of elite sporting teams, having worked for several years with Netball, Soccer, and Water Polo teams. She also offers unique orthopaedic knowledge and skills, in particular regarding the physiotherapy management of ACL reconstructions, meniscal repairs and joint replacement surgeries, after gaining valuable experience shadowing an orthopaedic surgeon at Brisbane Private Hospital.
Having competed at State and National levels in Netball, Water Polo and Swimming – and having been an injury riddled patient of North West Physiotherapy herself since the age of 11 – Chelsea understands the frustrations and struggles associated with the road to recovery and she is passionate about helping others achieve their rehabilitation goals and preventing reoccurrence.
Chelsea has a keen interest in:
– sport related injury management and prevention,
– ankle and knee injuries,
– neck and lower back pain,
– surgical, orthopaedic, and musculoskeletal physiotherapy and rehabilitation.
Outside of work you will find Chelsea in the water, either playing water polo, swimming or surfing. She also enjoys going to the gym, travelling and catching up with friends.
