Ellie joins the North West Physiotherapy Eatons Hill team as their first Exercise Physiologist. Having
always had a keen interest in sport and injury management, and how the human body responds to
movement, she completed a Bachelor of Clinical Exercise Physiology at the Queensland University of
Technology, graduating in 2015. She went on to work in private practice for three years, gaining
valuable experience working within a multidisciplinary team, across a variety of exercise settings,
which included aged care, hydrotherapy, professional sport, and community home visits. In 2016 –
2017 Ellie completed several Pilates qualifications and in recent times, spent four years offering
advanced Reformer Pilates in London studios.
As an Exercise Physiologist, Ellie specialises in the prescription of exercise as a treatment for people
who are at risk of or living with a chronic disease or injury. It is important to Ellie that all her clients
feel confident and safe when exercising, and this is made possible through her gentle, patient, and
receptive manner. Ellie’s genuine desire to help her clients meet their health needs and goals, comes
with establishing a close working relationship to provide them with an evidence-based and
individualised exercise program. She is accredited with, and member of, Exercise & Sport Science
Australia (ESSA). Some of her interests include:
– Pilates
– Injury rehabilitation
– Osteoarthritis
– Pre-diabetes and Type 2 Diabetes
