DVA Physiotherapy Brisbane
North West Physio is proud to support Brisbane’s servicemen and women with expert care.

Physiotherapy for veterans, covered by DVA
At North West Physio, we see DVA clients across Brisbane. If you hold a Gold Card or a White Card for an accepted condition, you may be eligible to access physiotherapy with no out-of-pocket cost. We bill DVA directly, so you do not have to pay on the day or manage the paperwork.
Whether you are managing a service-related injury, rebuilding strength after surgery, or dealing with a condition that has been wearing you down, our team will work with you toward the outcomes that matter most in your day-to-day life.
Conditions we commonly treat
- Musculoskeletal injuries
- Traumatic and service-related injuries
- Chronic pain and complex conditions including chronic post-traumatic stress-related physical symptoms
- Age-related degenerative conditions
Many veterans have been carrying service-related conditions for years before seeking treatment. Whether your injury is recent or longstanding, we will meet you where you are and focus on what will make the most practical difference to how you move and how you live.

What DVA physiotherapy at North West Physio involves

Treatments and interventions:

- Exercise programs
- Dry needling for pain relief and improved range of motion
- Post-surgical rehabilitation programs
Aids and appliances prescription through the DVA Rehabilitation Appliances Program (RAP).
Did you know?
Gold Card vs White Card DVA Cover
DVA Gold Card holders can access physiotherapy for clinically necessary conditions, while White Card holders can access it only for accepted conditions. A referral is generally required for both types of card holders, and the usual 12-session or 1-year treatment cycle applies except for TPI Gold Card physiotherapy.
How to Access DVA Physiotherapy at North West Physio

Check Your Card Type.
Confirm whether you hold a DVA Gold Card or White Card, and, for White Card holders, that the condition you want treated is an accepted service-related condition.

Get a Referral if Required.
Most DVA clients need a GP referral before their first physiotherapy appointment. A standard DVA treatment cycle covers 12 sessions, after which a new referral is required. Gold Card holders should confirm their specific entitlements with their GP or DVA directly.

Bring Your Documentation.
Bring your DVA card, your GP referral, and any relevant imaging or medical reports.

Initial Assessment.
Your physio will take the time to understand your condition, your history, and the outcomes you are working toward. From there, we build your treatment plan.

Ongoing Treatment and Progress Reviews.
We deliver your treatment program over regular sessions, reviewing your progress and adjusting the plan to keep you moving forward.
