Paediatric physiotherapy assesses and treats movement, strength, balance, coordination and physical development in babies, children and teenagers. Children with neurological and developmental conditions are seen at our Lutwyche clinic.
Children are still growing and still learning to move, so their physio looks different to an adult’s. Sessions are built around play, with toys, music and iPads, so kids stay interested long enough to do the work.
Kids with sports injuries can see a physio at any North West clinic.
If your child has cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, autism, motor delay or another complex condition, book at North West Physiotherapy Lutwyche. Across our group, children with these conditions are seen at Lutwyche.

How the first visit works
Comprehensive Assessment
Vince evaluates your child’s movement and play patterns while discussing your unique observations. Together, we establish collaborative, meaningful goals for your child’s development.
In-Clinic Therapy
Certain specialised exercises require a physiotherapist’s supervision for safety and are conducted during our clinic sessions. We keep therapy highly engaging using toys, music, and interactive technology, with private treatment rooms available to support your child’s sensory or focus needs.
Customised Home Programs
During the initial six weeks, we guide you through targeted home exercises, ensuring you understand both the technique and the purpose behind each activity to confidently support your child’s progress.
Regular Reviews & NDIS Support
Following the initial phase, we transition to monthly progress reviews. For NDIS participants, we provide the detailed progress reports required for your scheduled plan reviews.
Intensive therapy and Cuevas Medek Exercises
For some children, a short block of daily therapy suits better than weekly sessions. At Lutwyche, an intensive therapy block runs 2 to 3 hours a day, 5 days a week, for 1 to 2 weeks.
Blocks can include Cuevas Medek Exercises (CME), a physio method for children with motor delay. Intensive therapy for kids
