Principal Physiotherapist

Ben Dansie

Ben is the Director and Principal Physiotherapist at North West Physiotherapy Eatons Hill. He started out at the Everton Park clinic in 2010 and brings over 10 years of clinical experience. Ben has training in: Dry Needling, Shoulder Rehabilitation and Hip/Sacroiliac Dysfunction.

During his 7 years at the Everton Park clinic, Ben developed his passion for the field and dedicated his time to building his skill set to allow effective treatment for all patient needs. In 2017, Ben and Roger McIntosh (Founder, North West Physiotherapy Group) opened the third North West Physiotherapy clinic together at Eatons Hill. Ben brought with him the core values of the North West Physiotherapy Group in providing high-quality, personalised treatment for a diverse range of patients.

Ben is also a qualified “Bounce Back” instructor and helps people with both acute and chronic back pain to return to previous fitness and maintain long term results.

Also experienced in Sports Rehabilitation, and getting injured athletes back on the field, Ben has worked outside the practice with several high-level football teams in Brisbane including; Eastern Suburbs Football Club and Mitchelton Football Club.

Outside of work Ben enjoys cycling, catching up on sports highlights and chasing after his children.

Ben does not run any classes at this time.

Amanda Roberts

Amanda joined the Eatons Hill clinic early in 2018, around six months after it first opened. She has enjoyed seeing the clinic grow, and loves the daily interactions with our patients and staff.  Amanda will happily assist with any enquiries you many have, or appointments you need.

Samuel O’Rourke

Sam has been working at our Eatons Hill clinic since he graduated from ACU in late 2018. Over the past year Sam has formed a special interest in the management of Parkinson’s disease and now offers a tailored program for people with this condition.

Sam is also passionate about:

Stacy Miller has over 17 years of experience as a Physiotherapist and a special interest in treating women’s health concerns, including: pelvic floor muscle strengthening, prolapse assessment, and causes of chronic pelvic pain.

Stacy is also experienced in treating men’s health – pelvic floor strengthening (ideally 6 weeks pre-prostatectomy) along with a variety of clients in the private practice setting including repetitive stress injuries, chronic low back pain, pre & post surgery rehab, sports injuries, and work cover claims.

Stacy did her Master’s in Physiotherapy in Philadelphia and has lived and worked in Australia for 11 years. Having recently moved from Sydney she is enjoying exploring a new region. She enjoys camping and walking in her spare time.

Chelsea

Chelsea joined the North West Physiotherapy team in 2021, having graduated from ACU with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy. She has a keen interest in sport-related injury management and prevention, ankle/ knee injuries, and neck / lower back pain.

During her studies, she received the Dean’s Commendation for Academic Excellence and was invited into the ACU Honours Program. She also has an interest in surgical, orthopaedic, and musculoskeletal physiotherapy and rehabilitation.

Chelsea brings first-hand experience in the holistic management of elite sporting teams, having worked for several years with Netball, Soccer, and Water Polo teams. She also offers unique orthopaedic knowledge and skills, in particular regarding the physiotherapy management of ACL reconstructions, meniscal repairs and joint replacement surgeries, after gaining valuable experience shadowing an orthopaedic surgeon at Brisbane Private Hospital.

Having competed at State and National levels in Netball, Water Polo and Swimming – and having been an injury riddled patient of North West Physiotherapy herself since the age of 11 – Chelsea understands the frustrations and struggles associated with the road to recovery and she is passionate about helping others achieve their rehabilitation goals and preventing reoccurrence.

Outside of work you will find Chelsea in the water, either playing water polo, swimming or surfing. She also enjoys going to the gym, travelling and catching up with friends.

Peter Sloss

Peter has been part of the team since 2018 after graduating from the ACU, bringing with him up-to-date, researched techniques and practices. Peter is recognised for his holistic approach to care by utilising Small Group Therapy, Hydrotherapy, Exercise Prescription & Dry Needling.

Pete has a specific interest in: Conservative management of ACL ruptures, Treating neck and lower back pain, and Sport and injury rehabilitation. On top of all this Peter is a genuine, caring and compassionate Physiotherapist who will listen to your concerns and work together with you on a holistic solution that fits your lifestyle.

Outside of work, you will find Pete keeping in shape at the gym, practicing mixed martial arts or at a cricket match with family, friends and bae.
