North West Physio will officially open its new Carseldine clinic at The Village Heart precinct, with doors open to patients from Monday, 13 April 2026. This clinic has been purpose-built to be something different: a rehabilitation and performance space where people come to fix their problems, not just manage them.
If you’re local to Carseldine, Chermside, Aspley, Bald Hills, Bridgeman Downs, Zillmere, or anywhere across the northside, we’d love to be your go-to physio clinic.

Conditions we treat
Our team works with a wide range of conditions, from everyday musculoskeletal issues through to complex injury rehabilitation and sports performance. Here’s a look at what we commonly treat and support.
Back and neck pain
Back and neck pain are among the most common reasons people walk through our doors for, and are also among the most commonly under treated. A lot of people spend months or years managing the pain rather than addressing what’s driving it. We assess the root cause, treat the injury, and build a plan that includes the strength and mobility work needed to stop it from coming back. Whether it’s a disc issue, postural pain from sitting at a desk all day, or chronic stiffness that’s been building for years, we’ve got you covered.
Knee injuries and pain
From ACL tears and meniscus injuries to patellofemoral pain and general knee degeneration, knee injuries can seriously disrupt your quality of life and your sport. We work through structured rehabilitation programs that are designed to restore full strength and function, not just get you walking pain-free. For athletes, that means returning to play at or above their previous level. For everyone else, it means getting back to doing the things you enjoy without constantly worrying about your knee giving out.
Shoulder injuries
Rotator cuff tears, shoulder impingement, labral injuries, and general shoulder instability are all conditions we treat regularly. The shoulder is a complex joint and one that responds well to targeted rehabilitation when it’s done properly. We’ll identify what’s going on, settle the acute pain, and then progressively rebuild the strength and stability that protects the shoulder over the long term.
Hip and groin pain
Hip and groin injuries are often mismanaged because the source of the problem isn’t always where the pain is. We take a thorough approach to assessment so we’re treating the actual cause. This is particularly relevant for runners, footballers, and anyone dealing with hip flexor issues or hip impingement that keeps flaring up.
Ankle and foot injuries
Ankle sprains, Achilles tendinopathy, plantar fasciitis, and stress fractures are all conditions where proper rehabilitation makes a significant difference to long-term outcomes. Getting back on your feet quickly is one thing. Doing it in a way that doesn’t result in a re-injury three months later is another. We’ll make sure you’re doing both.
Sports injuries and return to play
For competitive and semi-professional athletes, getting back on the field or court as quickly and safely as possible is the priority. We work with athletes at all levels across basketball, rugby league, and field-based sports, providing injury assessment, in-season management, and structured return-to-play programs. We also offer pre-season screening and VALD performance testing to identify any weaknesses or imbalances before they become injuries.
Postnatal and women’s health
For women returning to exercise after having children, the journey back to physical activity isn’t always straightforward. We offer physiotherapy support and a pathway into exercise rehabilitation, including Pilates, that’s designed around where you are right now, not where you think you should be. It’s a welcoming, non-judgmental environment where you can build strength and confidence at your own pace.
Arthritis and age-related conditions
Joint pain, stiffness, and reduced mobility from osteoarthritis or age-related degeneration don’t have to define how you live. We run the GLAD programme (Good Life with osteoArthritis in Denmark), an evidence-based exercise and education program specifically designed for people with hip and knee osteoarthritis. Alongside that, our gym and group exercise classes give older adults a structured, supported way to stay strong, maintain balance, and protect their independence long term.
Postural issues and general weakness
Desk workers, parents, people who haven’t exercised in years, anyone who’s feeling the physical effects of a lifestyle that hasn’t prioritised movement. This is one of the biggest groups of people we help. Poor posture, general weakness, and the aches and pains that come with it are incredibly common, and they respond well to the right combination of treatment and exercise. We’ll assess what’s going on and build a practical plan around your life.
Serious about your golf game? We’ve got something special for you
One of the standout features of our Carseldine clinic is our on-site golf simulator and dedicated golf performance program. It’s something you won’t find at most physio clinics, and it’s been specifically built for golfers who want to play better, stay injury-free, and get more out of every round.
To analyse the golfing athlete, we use a head to toe movement screen combined with a swing analysis and golf simulator data. This means we assess the physical limitations that are directly affecting your swing and your game. Lower back stiffness, limited hip rotation, and shoulder tightness aren’t just injury risks; they’re swing faults affecting your game. We identify exactly what your body is doing, use the simulator to show you how those physical limitations translate to your ball striking, and then build a structured program to fix them. Whether you’re a 20+ handicapper who wants to break into single digits, an older golfer who wants to play 3 times a week long into their retirement, or a competitive player managing a recurring injury, we can help. The simulator is also available to hire for practice sessions, so you can work on your game rain, hail or shine. We’re building relationships with the Virginia Golf Club and local golf communities across the northside, so if you’re part of that world, we’d love to connect.
A welcoming space and highly equipped facility
Our Carseldine clinic is our biggest and one of the best-equipped facilities across the North West Physio network. Alongside our treatment rooms, we have a fully equipped gym and exercise space, a running and sled track, Pilates equipment, and a golf simulator. It’s a space designed to carry people all the way through their recovery, from the initial consultation through to the strength and conditioning work that keeps them healthy over the long term.
Our group classes include Pilates, strength-based exercise programmes, and the GLAD programme for osteoarthritis. They’re designed to be accessible regardless of your current fitness level, and they’re a genuinely great way to build the kind of consistency that makes a real difference to your health.
Our approach to care
At North West Physio, we treat the whole problem, not just the symptoms. Pain relief is often where we start, but it’s rarely where we finish. Our goal is to get you out of pain and then equip you with the strength, knowledge, and confidence to stop it from coming back.
That might mean a structured exercise rehabilitation programme, a Pilates class, an ongoing performance program, or simply understanding what changes you can make to protect your health for the long haul. Every plan is built around you.
Who we work with
We work with people across all walks of life. Families looking for trusted, convenient care. Mums returning to exercise for the first time in years. Golfers who want to play better and play more. Semi-professional athletes chasing peak performance. Older adults who want to maintain their strength and independence. Anyone who’s tired of managing pain and ready to do something about it properly.
If you’re uncertain about where to start, that’s fine. We’ll help you figure it out.
