At North West Physio Nundah we want to keep you performing at your peak on the field or court – no matter what your sport is.

Sports injury and prevention goes beyond a standard reactive approach to injuries and involves having an injury screening done before or during the season by an expert Physiotherapist.

That means we can assess for any obvious risk factors that may impede your performance or increase the risk of injury and develop an evidence-based management strategy to keep you off the treatment table and at the top of your game.

What to Expect

We can help with treatment for a range of injuries and conditions at North West Physiotherapy. Treatment for sports injuries includes comprehensive rehabilitation to ensuring a full recovery and return to sport.

An injury screening session is carried out to analyse any discrepancies between sides of the body or from normal measures.

Injury Screening Sessions can include:

  • Posture assessment
  • Flexibility assessment
  • Strength tests
  • Gait assessments
  • Functional movement tests specific to the sport

Your physio will use this assessment to flag any areas of concern and to provide you with advice and a customised exercise program.

The measures will also be used as a base for reassessment in the future and to monitor progress.
