Women’s health classes: designed just for you
North West Healthy Women will feature a diverse lineup of classes led by highly qualified women’s health physiotherapists. Whether you’re an expectant mother, a new mum, or someone looking to enhance overall well-being, we have something tailored for you.
1.Mums to be (pre-natal Pilates & exercise class)
Embark on a transformative journey through pregnancy with our Mums in the Making class. This prenatal exercise class is crafted to support the needs of expectant mothers, focusing on maintaining fitness, improving flexibility, and preparing your body for childbirth.
2. Mums and bubs (post-natal pilates & exercise class)
Our mums and bubs class is designed to help you safely regain strength and fitness after childbirth. This supportive environment will guide you through gentle yet effective exercises that focus on rebuilding core strength, improving pelvic floor function, and addressing any musculoskeletal issues from pregnancy or delivery.
3. Pilates for all
Join our Pilates class to experience a rejuvenating workout led by expert, Pilates-trained physiotherapists. This class combines exercises to enhance flexibility, strength, balance, and body awareness. Ideal for women of all ages and fitness levels, our Pilates classes aim to aid rehabilitation, enhance physical function, and minimise injury risk.
4. Forever Fit for Women 50+
Our Forever Fit class is specifically designed for women over 50, focusing on strength and balance to enhance overall well-being. This class offers a supportive setting to improve strength, flexibility, and balance. It’s perfect for preventing falls, increasing stamina, and enjoying social interaction with peers.
5. Reformer + Strength classes
Experience the synergy of reformer pilates and strength training in our Reformer + Strength Fusion class. This session combines the core-strengthening benefits of reformer Pilates with the muscle-building focus of strength training. Whether you’re aiming to enhance flexibility, build lean muscle, or improve overall fitness, this class provides a comprehensive workout.
Women’s health clinic: class duration and frequency
Each class will last between 45-60 minutes. The frequency of classes will be confirmed soon, but you can expect a well-structured timetable to accommodate different schedules. We will also have an Expression of Interest (EOI) form on our website for those looking for specific times or days.
Women’s health physiotherapy: introductory and trial classes
To ensure the best experience and outcomes, an initial assessment with our Women’s Health Physiotherapists is required before joining any class. This assessment helps in:
- Designing a personalised exercise program
- Identifying any potential risks and tailoring exercises accordingly
- Setting realistic fitness goals and tracking progress
- Educating participants on proper techniques and understanding physical limitations
Assessments will be reviewed every six months to align your program with your evolving needs.
